1. The plug joint is made by five penetrations. The five penetrations can be composed of three whole strand penetrations and two reduced strand penetrations. All plug joints should be opposite to the twisting direction of the steel wire rope; except for the first group of insertions, the tail ends of all other groups of strands should be opposite to the twisting direction of the steel wire rope.
2. The interleaving should be carried out in an upward and downward manner.
3. If the steel wire rope has a fiber main core, the rope core should be completely passed through with the first end of the first group of insertions, and then the exposed rope core should be cut off. If the strand has a fiber core, the core should remain within the original strand. 4. If the wire rope has an independent wire core, the core shall be divided into three parts, namely: - two strands; - two strands; - two strands plus their core. Use three staggered tail plugs to braid these three parts, and only pass through the three complete plugs.
4. If the steel wire rope has an independent metal wire strand core, this core should be folded inward during the first set of insertions, and then fully inserted upward into the center of the braiding head after five complete insertions.
5. All insertions should be firmly tightened until they are consistent with the center line of the inserted wire rope. In order to make the inserts smooth and rounded, they should be shaped using appropriate tools to get them into the proper position.
