What is Xi Shi's surname?
Shi was a peerless beauty in ancient China, and her story was widely circulated among the people. Shi, formerly known as Shi Yiguang, was the daughter of a woodcutter named Shi in Zhuluoshan, Yue State during the Warring States Period. She lived in the West Village, so she was named Shi. She looks as beautiful as a lotus. The orphan girl who was picked up by a woodcutter named Shi by the river has no brothers or sisters.

At that time, Fu Cha, the king of Wu, led troops into Yue State to avenge his father. The Vietnamese army was defeated, Gou Jian became a prisoner of war, and Fan Li, the doctor of the State of Yue, was taken hostage and followed the Yue couple to the State of Wu as a slave. Three years later, Fu Cha, the king of Wu, released Gou Jian and Fan Li. After Gou Jian returned to China, he worked hard to get back together for ten years. He dedicated Xi to Fu Cha, the king of Wu, with Fan Li's honey trap. Xi Shi, with his beautiful appearance and superb piano, chess, calligraphy, painting, singing and dancing, caused the king of Wu to get drunk in the palace every day, indulge in debauchery and ignore state affairs. With the help of her internal staff, Gou Jian finally destroyed the State of Wu.

There are always different opinions about the ending of History. There is also a saying that he was later drowned by a stone. This sentence was first recorded in Mozi's Dear Teacher, which said, "The beauty of a teacher is also beautiful." Being submerged in water, she died because of her beauty. "Xiuwen Yulan" quoted the records of the history of Wu Yue Chun Qiu written by the Eastern Han Dynasty: "After Wu died, the more he drifted into the river, the more he died with the barbarians." The word "floating" here also means "sinking". Clothing is a leather bag. After Wu's death, the King of Yue put the stone in a leather bag and sank it into the river.

Another way of saying it is to follow the Five Lakes in seclusion. There is such a record in Yuejueshu: "After Wu, I went back to my teacher and swam the five lakes with him." Du Mu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote in the poem Du Niang: "Learn Chinese characters in Gusu and drive away barbarians." Here, "Li Yi" does not refer to the purse, but refers to Fan Li. Gou Jian, the king of Yue, said in Historical Records that after his death in Wu, he "drifted into the sea and changed his name, calling himself Yi Zipi". Because the legend that is popular all over the rivers and lakes may be the tragic ending of this peerless beauty, the story of a happy marriage is circulated to express sympathy for them.

A few years ago, Ci Hai (revised edition) published in Shanghai also said: "The teacher is Xizi. At the end of the Spring and Autumn Period, the Yue people were betrothed to Fu Cha, the king of Wu, and became Fu Cha's favorite concubine. Legend has it that after Wu died, he entered the five lakes. " I didn't mention the legend that she was submerged in the water, but I may hope that Shi has a perfect home.
