When Vancouver speaks Chinese, it is limited to Chinese supermarkets, banks with Chinese services (only some banks in Chinese-inhabited areas) and Chinese restaurants (and it is not necessarily Mandarin, but mostly Cantonese). There are still a few family doctors and dentists who can speak Mandarin, but because of the great demand, the patients under the names of these doctors are full, and it is difficult for new immigrants to join.
In Vancouver, if you can only speak Chinese and can't speak English at all, your life circle is very narrow and limited.
