Bai Yang (1April 22, 920-1September18,0996), formerly known as Yang, was born in Gulun, Miluo City, Hunan Province, and was a film and drama performance artist in China.

1936 signed a contract with a star film company, starring with Zhao Dan in Crossroads, and became famous in one fell swoop. As the most popular actress in China at that time, Poplar also attracted the attention of international media. The Times of England called it "greta garbo" of China, one of the "four famous dramas" of the Republic of China.
