Natural absorbable suture

Surgical catgut: it can be divided into Xitong catgut and chrome catgut. They are all processed from high-purity collagen. The absorption rate of surgical intestinal line depends on the type of line, tissue type, tissue condition and the general state of the patient. Surgical catgut can be used to suture infected wounds, but the absorption rate is obviously accelerated at this time.

The intestinal line in general surgery is absorbed quickly. The postoperative tensile strength can only be maintained for 7- 10 days, and it can be completely absorbed within 70 days. The intestine treated with chromium salt solution is called chromized intestine, which can resist the digestion of various enzymes in the body and prolong the absorption time to more than 90 days.

Synthetic absorbable sewing money

Because of antigenicity, strong tissue reactivity and unpredictable yield of natural gut, people are committed to developing synthetic absorbable sutures. The latter has a wide range of applications, from the suture of chest and abdominal wounds to the application of ophthalmic surgery.

Coating Vicryl(Polyglactin 9 10) suture: Its advantages are:

1. Successfully passed the organization;

2. Smooth knotting and accurate positioning;

3. Reduce the tendency of clamping tissue;

It can be used to sew up infected wounds.

The coating is a mixture of lactide and glycolide (Polyglactin 370) and calcium stearate. The coating has obvious adsorption, adhesion and lubricity, and does not peel off.

After sewing/0/4 days after kloc-0, the tensile strength of coated Vicryl suture remained at about 65%. On the 2nd1day after suture, the tensile strength of 6-0 or thicker suture remained about 40%, while the tensile strength of 7-0 or thinner suture remained only about 30%. The suture is hardly absorbed within 40 days and completely absorbed within 56-70 days. The absorption of paint is also very rapid, estimated to be between 56-70 days.

Poly (p-dioxanone) (PDS) suture: This single-fiber suture represents a great progress in suture materials. It combines the characteristics of softness, flexibility and single fiber structure, has good absorption performance, can maintain the tensile strength of wounds for more than 6 weeks (twice that of other synthetic absorbable sutures), has slight tissue reaction and low affinity for bacteria. It is suitable for suture of various soft tissues, and can be used in pediatric cardiovascular, obstetrics, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, digestive tract and colon surgery.

Similar to other synthetic absorbable sutures, PDS Ⅱ Ⅱ suture is absorbed by hydrolysis in vivo. After sewing, the tensile strength remained about 70% on day 14, 50% on day 28 and 25% on day 42. The suture was hardly absorbed within 90 days after operation; It was completely absorbed after 6 months.

MonocryI(polglecaprone 25) suture: This single-fiber suture is flexible, easy to operate, easy to knot, has no chemical effect in the tissue, and can be absorbed as scheduled. Surgeons often use it to suture tissues that need high tensile strength within two weeks after operation, that is, it is suitable for subcutaneous suture, soft tissue anastomosis and ligation except nerves, blood vessels, ophthalmology and microsurgery. On the 7th day, it can retain 50%~60% of the original strength, and it will decrease to 20%~30% on the 4th day, and the strength will disappear on the 2nd day. Completely absorbed in 9 1- 1 19 days.
