The origin of spring city

1 and Kunming have distinct seasons, but because of the soil and water in Yunnan and the geographical location of Kunming, the annual temperature difference is very small.

In Kunming, the average temperature is about 25 degrees in summer and about 15 degrees in winter. The temperature in spring is close to that in other parts of our country, so it is called four seasons like spring. ?

Because of Yunnan's climate, soil and water, and Kunming is located in the middle of Yunnan, you can still see delicate roses in winter no matter what season. In eastern Yunnan, Rosa davurica is still in full bloom even in June of 5438+ 10. So there is another sentence: Spring City is full of flowers.

Flowers bloom all year round, which is one of the reasons why Kunming is called the Spring City. ?

The biggest flower trading market in China is also in Kunming, Yunnan, where the daily flow of flowers ranks first in China.

The origin of Jiangcheng

Wuhan's reputation as "Jiangcheng" originated from the eternal quatrains of Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, "Yu Di blows in the Yellow Crane Tower, and plum blossoms fall in Jiangcheng in May". This title is also due to the close relationship between the development of Wuhan and the Yangtze River and Hanshui River, so among the nine cities along the Yangtze River, only Wuhan enjoys the nickname of "Jiangcheng".

The origin of quancheng

Jinan, also known as Quancheng, is famous for its numerous springs and beautiful scenery. According to statistics, there are four spring areas, ten spring groups and 733 natural springs, which are rare in cities at home and abroad. This is a unique natural karst spring museum. In addition to Quancheng, Jinan is often called the Spring Capital.

The springs in Jinan are not only numerous, but also varied in shape and colorful, some spewing out, some waterfall-shaped, and some lake-bay-shaped. Many cool and sweet springs gush from the underground of the city and flow into rivers and lakes. In the peak season, in the spring-intensive areas, there are beautiful scenery of "every spring, every weeping willow" and "crystal stone in the stream".

As early as the Song Dynasty, Ceng Gong, a writer, commented: "Qiduo Ganquan is the best in the world", and Yu Qin, a geographer in the Yuan Dynasty, also praised: "Jinan's mountains and rivers are the first, and springs are the first in the world." The clear and sweet spring water is the blood of Jinan, which endows the city with exquisite temperament and vigorous vitality. At the same time, Jinan's urban development, historical evolution and folk customs are also closely related to spring water, forming a unique spring water culture.

The origin of mountain city

Chongqing is known as the mountain city. As the name implies, there are many mountains here. Most importantly, Chongqing is built on a mountain. Many dozens of high-rise buildings can go directly to the ground in the middle of the building. Of course, you don't jump off a building or take the elevator, because there is an overpass that leads directly to the mountainside parallel to the building. So in Chongqing, there is always an endless hillside waiting for you. There is a song: "The mountain is high and the road is uneven. What a Chongqing city."

The origin of Yangcheng

Xiguan Old Town in Guangzhou has all the characteristics of roads in the old town. Narrow sidewalks and shady old banyan trees on both sides of the street cover the gloomy old arcade with Lingnan characteristics. It is this ancient street that has the most famous Taoist temple in Guangzhou history. This Taoist temple is the origin of the titles of Guangzhou "Yangcheng" and "Guangzhou City". ?

Wuxian Temple was built in the 10th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1377). Why did you build this Five Immortals Temple at that time? That's about to start from the Zhou Dynasty! According to legend, Guangzhou was starved for years, the fields were barren and the people were miserable. One day, Wan Li was clear, and five colorful auspicious clouds suddenly floated in the South China Sea. Five immortals dressed in colorful clothes rode down on five fairy sheep with ears of rice.

The immortals distributed the ears of rice to the people of Guangzhou, wishing this place good weather, abundant crops and no famine in the future. With these words, the five immortals floated away, leaving behind the golden ears of grain and the five immortals sheep attached to the world. Later, people spread rice seeds on the earth, and there was a bumper harvest every year. Five fairy sheep have also become stone sheep, and always wish the people of Guangzhou good weather and all the best. Then why Guangzhou is also called "Yangcheng" is this reason.

The origin of Rongcheng

There is an allusion that "a turtle paints a hibiscus", that is, when the city was first built, the foundation was unstable and collapsed repeatedly. Later, a tortoise appeared to lead the way to build a city. The route guided by the tortoise was a hibiscus flower, and Rongcheng was born.

Speaking of "protecting the city with hibiscus", Meng Changjun, the king of Shu, ordered hibiscus to be planted everywhere in Tucheng, Chengdu, in order to protect the city wall. Whenever the hibiscus blooms in September, it looks like embroidery from a distance, and the city is full of splendor, so it is called Furong City. The most accepted and widely circulated version is this one.

Why did Meng Changjun, the king of Houshu, let people plant hibiscus trees on the wall to protect it? There is a legend: since the Tang Dynasty, Chengdu has held a grand flower market every February in the lunar calendar. According to legend, February 15th of the lunar calendar is the birthday of Baihua, which is called "Flower Dynasty". Chengdu Flower Market is conveniently held around the Flower Dynasty, which is the positive period of the flower market. Every February, Chengdu becomes an ocean of flowers. Hundreds of flowers gather in the flower city, competing to open up and compete for beauty, making the whole ancient capital enchanting and gorgeous. ?

Such a beauty contest is really dazzling. At this time, five generations later, Mrs. Hua Rui, the princess of Shu, turned back from the flowers and found hibiscus in it. Lotus is rolling in the sky like a colorful cloud, which surprises Mrs. Hua Rui. She likes this beautiful flower, which makes her feel very happy. However, flowers are always short-lived, and beauty will soon die. In the humid weather in Chengdu, Mrs. Hua Rui is often depressed.

Autumn is coming, and Mrs. Huarui takes her entourage to have an outing to relieve loneliness. Walking to the front yard of the farmhouse, she was surprised to find that in this autumn in first frost, even the determined chrysanthemums have withered, but there are still such clusters of flowers blooming. She remembered that this was the hibiscus she saw in the flower dynasty, and Mrs. Huarui's face was rippling with joy that she had never seen before. The entourage around him saw all this and reported it to Meng Changjun, the king of Shu. Meng Changjun was overjoyed and ordered the people to plant hibiscus trees in the gardens of the whole city. So when the flowers bloom next year, Chengdu will be a 40-mile hibiscus, and from then on it will have the reputation of Furong City. ?

Later, after the demise of Shu, Mrs. Huarui was swept into the harem by Song Taizong Zhao Guoyin. Mrs. Hua Rui often misses Meng Chang and secretly treasures his portrait to show her miss. After Zhao Guoyin knew it, he forced her to hand over the portrait. However, Mrs. Hua Rui refused, and Zhao Guoyin killed her in a rage. Later generations admired Mrs. Hua Rui's loyalty to love, regarded her as the Lotus God and called her "the flower of love". ?

Chengdu people's love for hibiscus flowers is related to this ancient legend. They rejected the saying that "the tortoise painted the hibiscus" and "the hibiscus protected the city", but they relished the legend of Mrs. Hua Rui, which fully explained the romantic feelings of Chengdu people in pursuit of loyal love.
