When will the apples be planted?
Apple trees are planted between autumn and March, before the trees leave their leaves. In winter, it is best to wrap the newly planted seedlings with plastic film, limewater or hay to prevent them from drying and freezing in winter and dying.

Apples belong to the cold temperate zone and are not suitable for planting in overheated or supercooled environments. In order to have a stable yield and good quality of apples, it is very important to choose varieties. The quality of varieties is reflected in the suitability of planting and the commercialization of crops.

When selecting dwarfed seedlings for cultivation, the first thing is to choose strong seedlings, smooth branches, complete roots and strong whole plants. There is no fixed number of apple seedlings planted in an acre of land, and the form depends on the size of seedlings, orchard planning and other factors.

Extended data:

Growth habit

Apple tree is a temperate fruit tree that likes low temperature and dryness. It requires no cold in winter and no heat in summer. The suitable temperature range is annual average temperature 9 ~ 14℃, extreme low temperature not lower than-12℃ in winter, average temperature 12℃ in growing season (April ~ 18℃) and low temperature below 7.2℃ in winter 1200.

Apples can be planted in areas where the annual average temperature is 7.5 ~ 14℃. The natural dormancy period of apples is very long. If the temperature in winter is too high to reach the low temperature required for winter dormancy, the germination in spring will be uneven.

Soil has a great influence on the growth, yield and quality of apples. The main factors are soil layer, soil ventilation and soil quality. In a word, apples need fertile and deep soil, good drainage, rich organic matter, slightly acidic to slightly alkaline.
