What's the difference between die casting mold, stamping mold and metal mold?
First, the composition of the three is different:

1, composition of die casting die:

(1) Fixed mold: it is fixed on the fixed mold mounting plate of the die casting machine and has a gate connected with the nozzle or pressure chamber.

(2) moving die: fixed on the die-casting moving die mounting plate, when the moving die mounting plate moves to close the die, the moving die closes to form a cavity and a casting system, and liquid metal fills the cavity under high pressure; When the mold is opened, the movable mold is separated from the fixed mold, and the casting is pushed out by the pushing mechanism arranged on the movable mold.

2. Composition of stamping die:

Although the structure and complexity of various stamping dies are different, and the parts that make up the dies are also diverse, they are always divided into upper dies and lower dies. Generally, the upper die is fixed on the slider of the press through the die handle, and moves up and down along the guide rail of the press together with the slider, and the lower die is fixed on the workbench of the press.

3, the composition of the metal mold:

Progressive die means that the material belt in the die moves in two or more directions after cutting. Call the automatic continuous die when the material belt enters the die; In the stamping production chain, the manipulator or other automation facilities used for stamping dies with different processes are used to move dies or parts to complete the stamping of workpieces. Rated dies are called multi-station dies.

Second, the overview of the three is different:

1. overview of die casting die: die casting is short for pressure casting. It is a method that liquid or semi-liquid metal is filled into the cavity of die-casting mold at high speed under high pressure and solidified rapidly under pressure to obtain castings. The die-casting die used is called die-casting die.

2. Overview of stamping die: Stamping die is a special process equipment for processing materials (metal or nonmetal) into parts (or semi-finished products) in cold stamping process, which is called cold stamping die (commonly known as cold stamping die).

3. Overview of metal molds: Metal molds are used in industrial production, and metal materials are made into parts or products with required shapes through various presses and special tools installed on the presses. These special tools are collectively called metal molds.

Third, the classification of the three is different:

1, classification of die casting dies:

Cavity (1): outer surface gate (gate sleeve).

(2) Core: the inner gate on the inner surface.

2, the classification of stamping die:

(1) Single-process stamping die A die that only completes one stamping process in one stroke of the printing machine.

(2) The compound die has only one station, and in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are completed at the same station at the same time.

(3) The progressive die (also called the continuous die) has two or more stations in the feeding direction of the blank, and in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are continuously completed at different stations.

(4) The transfer die combines the characteristics of single-process die and progressive die, and the rapid transfer of products in the die is realized by using the manipulator transfer system, which can greatly improve the production efficiency of products, reduce the production cost of products, save material costs, and ensure stable and reliable quality.

3, the classification of metal mold:

(1) Punching die: a die for separating materials along a closed or open contour line. Such as blanking die, punching die, cutting die, cutting die, trimming die, cutting die, etc.

(2) Bending die: a die that bends a blank or other blank along a straight line (bending line) to obtain a workpiece with a certain angle and shape.

(3) Drawing die: it is a die that makes the blank plate into an open hollow part or further changes the shape and size of the hollow part.

(4) Forming die: it is a die that directly replicates and forms a blank or semi-finished workpiece according to the shapes of the male die and the female die, and the material itself only produces local plastic deformation. Such as expanding die, necking die, flaring die, wavy forming die, flanging die, shaping die, etc.
