Six aspects of planting verbena 1. Select and arrange planting sites.
To master the planting method of verbena, we must first choose the land suitable for verbena planting. Before planting verbena, select loam or sandy soil with thick soil layer, and then plough it to a depth of about 18 ~ 25cm. Then apply 2000 ~ 2500kg of decomposed farmyard manure as base fertilizer per mu, and then make a frame with a width of about 50cm and a height of about 15cm.
Step 2 sow seeds
The planting time of verbena is generally from late April to early May. First, level the soil on the border with a rake, and ditch along the border at intervals of about 5 cm, with the spacing of 25 ~ 30 cm in each row and the depth of about 15 ~ 20 cm. The bottom grid should be leveled, and then a small amount of farmyard manure should be applied as base fertilizer. Then spread the seeds evenly on it, cover it with 1 ~ 1.5 cm of soil, press a little on the soil, and then spread about a catty of seeds per mu.
3. Transplanting between seedlings
When planting verbena, it should be ensured that its humidity and temperature are appropriate, so that it can germinate in about 10 ~ 20 days, and can be transplanted when the seedling height reaches 5 cm. There is no need to deliberately leave a single row, but the distance between plants in each row should be kept at about 10 cm, so as to leave room for normal growth and development.
4. Water, weed and loosen the soil
Plants can generally loosen the soil and cultivate it properly when weeding. When the planted soil is too dry, water it in time to ensure the normal growth of verbena. Weeding regularly can prevent grass shortage and increase yield. If you see grass, pull it out and make sure there are no weeds in the area with verbena. Pay attention to timely drainage in rainy season, and loosen verbena in time after rain to prevent soil surface hardening from affecting root respiration.
5, pest control
According to long-term research and observation, it is found that there are few pests and diseases in the growth process of verbena. Most of the problems are mainly the occurrence of root rot caused by long-term water accumulation in soil, which requires us to drain and loosen the soil in time. If it is serious, water the roots with carbendazim every seven to ten days.
Step 6 sow and harvest
Excellent varieties are the first condition to increase yield. Once we plant, we need to build another field. The planting method is the same as ordinary plants. During this period, field management should be strengthened, and phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer should be properly applied before flowering to make plant seeds full and obtain more improved varieties. When the seeds are seven or eight years old, they can be harvested. The harvested seeds can be stored in a ventilated and dry shade for 4 ~ 6 days, and then threshed. Impurities and shriveled seeds can be removed and the seeds can be dried for about 3-4 days. Put it in a clean cloth bag and then put it in a ventilated warehouse for use next year.
Conclusion: Through the above introduction, I believe everyone has understood the detection method of verbena, and I hope everyone can grow their favorite verbena.
