The cultivation method of Acer truncatum avoids exposure to sunlight in a cool environment.
Recently, a flower friend asked me, what kind of plants are suitable for home, which can beautify the environment and purify and improve the air? What I introduce to you is Acer truncatum, a foliage plant, which is a good "four seasons" greening tree species. So what is the breeding method of Castanea henryi? Look down together ~

Breeding method of Acer truncatum Bunge (basic knowledge): The best breeding time is May or June or the middle and late September;

The best soil for growth: Acer truncatum likes fertilizer and moisture, so it is advisable to use fertile, loose and moist slightly acidic soil or neutral soil. Potting can use humus-rich mountain soil or humus-rich soil;

Requirements for growth humidity: Acer truncatum should be sprayed with water frequently, and the relative humidity should be kept at 85 {BF} ~ 90 {BF}, so as to keep the leaves fresh and the bed inserted moist;

Optimum growth temperature: Acer truncatum likes warmth, so it should be moved indoors for wintering in time before winter in the north, and placed indoors at room temperature of 0-5℃;

Optimum growth light: Acer truncatum likes cool environment, and is afraid of sun exposure in summer.

Matters needing attention in Acer truncatum breeding: fertilization:

Generally, organic fertilizer is applied three times a year in open field cultivation to prevent partial application of nitrogen fertilizer and more application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, otherwise the leaf color will not be bright.

Potted Acer truncatum generally begins to germinate in spring and applies pancake fertilizer 1 time every month, and then changes to potash fertilizer in September. If 0.5 {BF}- 1 {BF} potassium sulfate solution or plant ash extract is applied, the leaf color will be bright.

Water supply point:

Cultivation in the open field, paying attention to watering during drought, and often loosening the soil to weed, increase soil permeability, which is conducive to root development.

Potted Acer truncatum should be watered properly during the growing season, but not too much to keep the soil moist.

Pruning points:

Pruning should be combined with plastic surgery every winter after defoliation.

Potted soil replacement:

Castanea henryi should use a shallow oval or rectangular glazed pottery pot, in which the varieties of red leaves should be gray, light blue, light green, light yellow and other colors, and black is also very effective. The types of green leaves can be purple, red and other colors.

Breeding point:

Acer truncatum is propagated by seeds and grafting. Generally, the original species are propagated by sowing, while the horticultural varieties are mostly propagated by grafting.

Seed propagation: it can be sown after harvest in June+10, 5438, or it can be sown with wet sand until the following spring. After sowing, cover the soil with 1 ~ 2 cm, water it, cover it with straw, and pull it out after emergence. The row spacing of drilling is 15 ~ 20 cm, and the sowing amount per mu is 4 ~ 5kg. Seedlings are afraid of the sun and need proper shade. The height of the seedlings is 30 ~ 50 cm. Transplanting should be carried out during the dormancy period of deciduous leaves. Small seedlings can move with bare roots, and big seedlings should move with soil balls.

Grafting propagation: grafting when the rootstock grows most vigorously. Seedlings must be transplanted 2-3 times. Transplanting should be done after defoliation and before germination, with overnight soil. Grafting can be done by cutting, butting and budding, and the rootstock is generally 3-4-year-old Acer truncatum seedlings. Cutting should be carried out in March and April when the rootstock buds swell, and it is best to cut the rootstock 50~80cm off the ground when grafting is high, so that the new shoots can be pulled up more than 50 ~ 80 cm in that year. Although docking is troublesome, it is easy to ensure survival.

According to Nanjing's experience, the best time for bud grafting is May or June or the middle and late September. May and June are the vigorous growth period of rootstock, and the interface is easy to heal, and the buds on the short branches in spring are just suitable for bud grafting; The buds on long branches germinated in summer are suitable for grafting on small rootstocks in the middle and late September. In autumn, the survival rate can be improved by properly raising the grafting site and leaving more stems and leaves. After Acer truncatum planting, it is advisable to apply quick-acting fertilizer 2 ~ 3 times in spring and summer, keep the soil moist in summer and dry in autumn.

Pest control:

Spraying hymexazol, dimethomorph or aimiao EC with 3000 times solution of ningnanmycin abamectin, beta-cypermethrin, chlorpyrifos or acetamiprid siloxane, giving priority to prevention, spraying once every 15 ~ 20 days in case of illness, and spraying once every 5 ~ 7 days in case of serious illness. Pay attention to alternate medication.

Common pests of Castanea henryi include grubs, grubs, scarabs, moths, aphids, longicorn beetles, borers, black worms and Anoplophora glabripennis.

Prevent underground pests, such as grubs, grubs, etc., from biting the roots and stems of seedlings, resulting in the death of seedlings. 50 {BF} phoxim EC or 48 {BF} Oxfam EC 1000 times can be used to mix with fine soil for spreading or root watering.

Scarabs, acacia, aphids, etc. Used to control pests, such as scarabs, acacia, aphids, red spiders, etc. It often eats red maple leaves, which leads to poor seedling growth. Avermectin, fast and omethoate can be sprayed 800 ~ 1000 times.

Control dry pests such as Cerambycidae and Cerambycidae. , harm Acer truncatum branches, causing Acer truncatum dead branches or even the whole branches, can spray 2000 ~ 3000 times of pyrethroids and green kung fu, or inject pesticides such as dichlorvos into the insect mouth and seal it with sticky mud.

Expand knowledge-how to distinguish green maple from Acer truncatum: 1, green maple is Acer truncatum, and Acer truncatum is not necessarily "green maple"

In biological classification, Qingfeng is also called Acer truncatum, but Acer truncatum is not necessarily "Qingfeng". Castanea henryi is also known as Aralia microphylla, Adouxian, Willow, etc.

2. Different plant forms

Acer truncatum is slender, palmately 7-9-lobed, 6-7 meters high; Acer truncatum is slender, palmately 5-7-lobed, and 10 meter high. Acer truncatum has a heart-shaped base, a tail-shaped head, serrated edges and red branches. The base of the green maple is wedge-shaped or heart-shaped, the leaves are slender and oval, the leaves are pointed, the edges are serrated, the leaves have fine hairs on the surface, and the branches are generally cyan or gray. Castanea henryi may have red leaves all year round, and green maple leaves are as green as shadows.
