19 10 year 12 people, including Zheng Zhiyong (second brother Feng), a famous overseas Chinese leader in Thailand, * * * initiated land purchase in Bangkok to build a large-scale Dafeng ancestral temple, named "Tang". 1936 changed its name to "Siam Overseas Chinese Dede Hall", which is still customarily called Dede Hall. For more than 90 years, Bao Detang has done a lot of charity work for the society, such as medical treatment, funeral and helping the poor. The public is grateful to the founder of Dafeng, and in turn, they use their own money or manpower to repay this kindness and support charity. Bao Detang also used the money donated by Shanxin to do more good deeds, and the beneficiaries were grateful for the donation. In this cycle, philanthropy continues to expand and develop.

In 1937, the overseas Chinese midwifery hospital was established in Bao Detang. In 1939, it was expanded into an overseas Chinese hospital, and in 1979, it was expanded into a 22-story building.

1994 was initiated by Bao Detang, and with the support of Taihua Society, Bao Detang established Overseas Chinese Chongsheng University, where a Chinese Department was established to teach Chinese.

1997, Xinyi Mountain Villa and mass graves were built.

In 2000, the foundation stone was laid for the seven-story building of Overseas Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. After long-term and sustained charitable activities, the worship of the founder of Dafeng has been recognized by Thai society, appreciated by people of all ethnic groups in Thailand and supported by the Thai royal family and government.

Hipsters and Chinese who came to Siam in their early years lived in poverty, and people often died but no one claimed their bodies. The earliest charity in Shantang was to restrain nameless bodies. Later, on the basis of collecting the body, Shantang did some good things, such as opening an overseas Chinese hospital.

After Zheng Zhiyong died, Shantang was re-elected. At the meeting, 22-year-old Zheng Wulou stated his reasons and insisted on registering Shantang as a corporate charity. Zheng Wulou's speech attracted everyone's attention, and his reform ideas were unanimously recognized.

Zheng Wulou was elected as the vice chairman of Shantang at the election meeting and became the chairman at the age of 23.

From the initial registered capital of only 2,000 baht to the assets of several billion baht now, Zheng Wulou's efforts are absolutely indispensable. Zheng used his rich experience in operating industrial and commercial enterprises to manage the newspaper hall, so that it would not be idle, and the good things of the newspaper hall were getting bigger and bigger, and the status of the newspaper hall in the people was getting higher and higher.

Zheng Wulou once met a person who raised money for a mountain pond in a club run by westerners. This man has come here every morning for four or five years to raise money. Someone asked him if he could get a commission if he worked so hard, and the man replied that there was a 5% commission. The other party asked him if he wanted to go to the mountain pond to get it. The man replied that he would go to heaven to get it.

Zheng Wulou remembers this voluntary fundraising, and he often tells it to more people. In fact, Chinese in Thailand are eager for a spiritual sustenance. In their view, today's donation helped others, and it is impossible to say that they need help tomorrow.

Zheng Wulou has been managing and presiding over the work of Shantang for decades and is known as a philanthropist.

In the Chinese society in Thailand, most Chinese who start from the bottom and then have a successful career (especially hipsters, because most Chinese in Thailand are hipsters) believe in "a society that takes money" and will "use money". Therefore, most of these successful people are charitable.
