Method for make animal freeze-dried specimen
Freeze-drying specimens is a method of making specimens with a long history. Hunters in northeast China have long known how to preserve hides in this way. Its basic principle is that the water in the specimen is pumped away by cryopreservation, so that protein loses its activity and will not rot for a long time to a certain extent.

Freeze-dried specimens in modern specimen making technology need quick-freezing dehumidification equipment, and the production effect in ordinary refrigerator is not ideal. It is best to constantly adjust the posture during the production process.

I don't know what kind of specimen you want to make (different types of animals have different requirements), so I can only outline the basic operation steps:

1) preliminary arrangement: cut off the internal organs of animals and cut off the brain tissue with the smallest and inconspicuous incision as possible;

2) preliminary dehydration with alcohol or formalin, and the concentration of the liquid medicine used should not be too high, so as to avoid the rapid formation of a solidified layer on the skin surface;

3) quick freezing;

4) dehumidification;

5) In the last two processes, the posture of the specimen should be adjusted frequently;

6) Be careful about plastic surgery;

7) Freeze-dried specimens are easy to be eaten by insects, and should be kept in a dark and sealed place, surrounded by insect repellent and antiseptic drugs.
