Research Direction Image Processing Pattern Recognition Yang Jie is currently the director of the Institute of Image Processing and Pattern Recognition of Shanghai Jiaotong University. As the project leader, he has successively undertaken 3 projects of National Natural Science Foundation, 3 projects of National 863 High-tech Plan, 3 subprojects of 973 Plan, 8 international cooperation projects of China, France, Japan and China and South Korea, 5 major projects of Shanghai/KLOC-0, 5 key projects of Shanghai, State Economic and Trade Commission 1 project, Ministry of Education 1 key projects and Seven achievements won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress award in colleges and universities, the second prize of Shanghai scientific and technological progress award, and the first prize of Shanghai excellent invention competition, and authorized four national invention patents/kloc-0. He was selected into the Cross-century Excellent Talents Training Program, Outstanding Young Teachers Funding Program, Key Teachers Program, Shanghai Dawn Program, Dawn Outstanding Scholars and Dawn Tracking Program of the Ministry of Education. Main research fields and directions: video target detection and recognition, data fusion and data mining, intelligent theory and system application, medical image processing.
