The difference between sweater and sweater
I didn't understand the difference between a sweater and a sweater when I didn't establish the concept of dressing collocation. Under normal circumstances, I think it is a sweater when others say it is a sweater, and I think it should be called a sweater when others say it is a sweater. It was not until I bought clothes online later that I really wanted to understand what a sweater was. Later, I found that sweaters are actually a general term, and there are many subdivisions.
Let's look at the definition of sweater and sweater:
Knitting is the definition of knitted sweater;
College style autumn new V-neck long sweater
Knitting refers to single yarn and weaving (warp and weft, such as cloth), so knitting has a wide range, such as autumn clothes, cotton sweaters, T-shirts and so on. Sweaters are just clothes made of wool (or maybe not pure wool).
Knitwear is a process product in which yarns of various raw materials and varieties are formed into loops through knitting needles and then connected into knitted fabrics through a series of sleeves. Knitwear has soft texture, good wrinkle resistance and air permeability, high ductility and elasticity, and is comfortable to wear.
Definition of sweater:
Large lapel twist long pullover sweater
A sweater, such as a machine or hand-woven wool coat. In primitive life, humans covered their bodies with leaves and skins. In fishing and animal husbandry, they knew how to use knitting technology. With the evolution of civilization and the invention of science and technology, human beings not only make full use of natural fibers such as animals and plants to weave articles needed by life, but also develop a variety of chemical fibers and mineral fibers to make human life more comfortable and convenient.
In addition, sweaters can also be divided into cotton sweaters and sweaters. Sweater commonly known as? Sweater or sweater? , including wool-like or wool blended sweaters. Knitwear refers to clothes woven by knitting equipment. Sweater is a kind of knitted sweater. Besides wool, sweaters are made of cotton thread and various chemical fiber threads. The processing methods of cotton knitwear and wool knitwear are also different. Cotton knitwear has cutting and sewing processes, while wool knitwear does not have these two processes. Pieces of clothing are woven with sewing discs.
Sweaters belong to the category of knitwear. Sweaters are named after clothing materials. Knitwear is named after technology (knitting method), and general underwear, cotton, sportswear and socks all belong to the knitting category. Knitting can be wool or cotton.
To find out the difference between a sweater and a sweater, you must first know what knitting is!
Knitted fabric has soft texture, good wrinkle resistance and air permeability, high extensibility and elasticity, and is comfortable to wear. Knitted products can be used not only for clothing and decoration, but also for industry, agriculture, medical care and national defense. Knitting is divided into hand knitting and machine knitting. According to different technological characteristics, knitting production can be divided into weft knitting and warp knitting. In weft knitting production, raw materials can be produced directly on the machine after winding. Each yarn is padded on each needle of the weft knitting machine in turn along the weft direction to form a weft knitted fabric. In warp knitting production, raw materials are wound and warping, yarns are arranged in parallel and wound into warp beams, and then they are produced on the machine. The yarns are unwound from the warp beam, and each yarn is placed on one or at most two needles of the warp knitting machine in the longitudinal direction to form a warp knitted fabric. On some knitting machines, there are also methods of combining weft knitting with warp knitting. At this time, two groups of yarns are arranged on the knitting machine, one group is padded according to the warp knitting method, the other group is padded according to the weft knitting method, and the needles make the two groups of yarns form loops together to form a knitted fabric. The loops formed by the same yarn are arranged in the weft direction in the weft knitted fabric and in the warp knitted fabric.
Knitting is divided into wool knitting and cotton knitting. Like the familiar woven fabric, cotton knitting is also used to make clothes through a similar process. Wool knitting is relatively unpopular, and wool knitting designers are always in short supply among major clothing brands.
Wool knitting, such as sweaters we often wear, sweaters in spring and summer, all weave each piece of wool yarn with a flat knitting machine, and then connect it piece by piece with a looping machine, just like connecting pieces of cloth with a sewing machine, but the equipment and methods are different.
About workmanship:
1. Wool knitting is different from cotton knitting. It is directly woven with yarn in the process of flat knitting machine. Just like we knit sweaters, a wool can't be continuous from beginning to end. Therefore, in this process, the workers will connect each wool with a knot. Generally speaking, it is impossible for a sweater to have no knots, but for a good quality sweater, its knots are always hidden in invisible places, such as side seams and underarms.
2. Another embodiment of the quality of knitwear is the flower foot, which is called the opening and closing needle in the thread and mostly appears at the neckline and the shoulder. Generally speaking, it is always more valuable to close the needle or neck of a sweater than to copy the hem. There are some sweaters, you can see them when you open them. The connection between the garment piece and the sleeve is similar to knitting or cotton knitting. In fact, this can never be listed as a boutique in the field of wool spinning. Far from it, there is a considerable distance in price between sweaters with cuffs and sweaters with cuffs exported from foreign trade.
3. From the fabric of sweater, stitch is a key point. That is, the braids we see, they must be uniform and the same size. Sometimes we will find that the stitch of some sweaters is thick here and thin there, which shows that the early flat knitting machine equipment was not fully debugged.
4. Hand-knitted, except hand-knitted hook, is not included, because its price is calculated according to the knitting time. The larger the needle type of sweater, the finer the knitting, such as 12 needle, 14 needle and 16 needle. The more expensive the processing cost, the higher the technological requirements, while the needle types of 9, 6 and 3 needles are generally not. But why is a 3-stitch overcoat sweater and a 12-stitch ordinary sweater sometimes the same price? The reason is to calculate the cost of a sweater, that is, raw materials plus processing fees, and the large coat with 3 stitches uses more raw materials.
How to choose sweaters
Check? Size, shape and feel of clothes; Wool yarn with or without coarse knots and excessive knots; No bad seams and redundant lines; Whether there are holes, gaps, beam color defects and oil stains.
Check? The elasticity of ribs on cuffs and hem can be opened by hand, and then relaxed to see if it can be well restored. At the same time, it should be noted that the contraction force of rib on cuff or hem should not be too great, otherwise there will be a tight feeling when closing the window.
Check? Sewing quality. Pay special attention to the seam quality of cuffs, front and back necklines, shoulder seams and side seams. During inspection, hold both sides of the inspected part by hand and gently pull it to make the joint clearly displayed in front of your eyes.
When choosing a pullover, whether the elasticity of the collar is appropriate, whether there is any needle leakage in the cuffs, whether the color of the cuff line is correct, and whether the thread end is cleaned are all places that need special attention. When choosing a cardigan, you should pay attention to whether the color of the cardigan in front is correct, whether there are any missing stitches, whether the stitches are loose, the quality of buttonholes, and the cooperation between buttons and buttonholes.
Understand the shrinkage rate. Due to the different raw materials and knitting structures, the shrinkage rate of sweaters varies greatly. Therefore, when purchasing, you must understand the shrinkage rate and consider the size of the sweater.
How to care for cardigans
1. It is best to wash the newly bought woolen sweater before wearing it formally, because some oil stains, paraffin wax, dust and other stolen goods will stick to it during the production process, and the new woolen sweater will also smell like moth-proofing agent;
2. If possible, the dehydrated woolen sweater can be dried at 80 degrees. If it is dried at room temperature, it is best not to use a hanger. You can hang it up or put it flat with a good doctor's stick and sleeves and put it in a cool and ventilated place.
3. When the woolen sweater is 90% dry, steam it and set it, and then air it until it is completely dry, so you can wear it for collection;
4. Always brush the dust off the sweater with clothes, so as not to affect the beauty of the sweater;
5. If you wear the same sweater for 2-3 days in a row, remember to change it, which can restore the natural elasticity of wool fabric;
6. Cashmere is a kind of protein fiber, which is easily eaten by insects. No matter how many times you wear it, you should wash it, dry it, fold it and bag it, add insect repellent and store it in a ventilated and dry place before collecting it. Be sure to use a hanger when saving;
7. Wrinkle removal: set the steam electric iron to low temperature and iron it at a distance of 1-2cm from the sweater. You can also put a towel on the sweater and iron it, so it won't hurt the wool fibers and leave no hot marks.
8. If your sweater is soaked, dry it as soon as possible, but never dry it directly with a heat source, such as an open flame or a heater directly exposed to strong sunlight.
