Li Yongqiang, deputy director of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Health Commission, introduced that the food safety and nutrition innovation platform for Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states and ASEAN countries built in Fangchenggang will make full use of the extremely rich resources in Guangxi and surrounding provinces and even Southeast Asia. Food and drug homologous substances will build a technology platform for cooperation and exchange with ASEAN countries in the fields of food safety, nutrition and health, and create a characteristic food industry chain of "innovation platform leadership - health food research and development - health food industry incubation - health food production". At present, the first phase of the innovation platform project has achieved initial results.
It is reported that as China-ASEAN cooperation continues to deepen, Guangxi and ASEAN have carried out pragmatic exchanges and cooperation in seven fields, including disease prevention and control, maternal and child health, food safety and nutrition and health. Fangchengang City, located at the forefront of open cooperation between China and ASEAN, has good conditions for carrying out cooperation on food safety, nutrition and health. The "Food Safety and Nutrition Innovation Platform Construction Plan" of Fangchenggang International Medical Open Pilot Zone was officially issued in July this year. The platform's R&D, incubation, achievement transformation and industrialization functions are gradually emerging, and the layout of the health food industry's "innovation platform + incubation platform + industrial park" is increasingly taking shape. At the same time, according to the development plan of Fangchengang International Medical Experimental Zone, Fangchenggang City is laying out and building a series of national-level functional platforms to provide solid support and guarantee for the clustered development of food and nutrition and health industries such as new food raw materials, food and drug substances, local specialty foods, etc.
