Except for very heavy tools or large blank areas, it is enough that the thickness of countersunk hole of screw head is in the range of 3/8 inch to 5/8 inch (9.5 mm-16 mm).

The demolder should have sufficient wall width to withstand the pressure required to demold the blank from the punch and the force required by any die channel. Unless it is a heavyweight tool or has a considerable joint part, the width and thickness of a flat hole drill with a screw head usually reach 9.5MM to16 mm. .

The height of the groove of the blank should be at least 1.5 times the thickness of the blank. This height should be increased if the raw material is to be lifted over the fixed pin stop. The width of the groove should be the width of the raw material belt, plus enough clearance to allow the change of the width of the cutting belt.

The height of the blank demoulding groove should be at least 1.5 times of the blank thickness. If the height of the blank exceeds the fixed locating pin (locating pin), the height should be increased accordingly. The width of the channel should be equal to the width of the blank belt, and sufficient allowance should be left to cope with the shear splines with different widths.

The selection of the method of applying spring to the stripper plate depends on the required pressure, space limitation, die shape, working properties and production requirements. Figure 9- 12 shows many such methods.

If the spring is to be applied to the tower plate of fractionator, the required pressure, space scale limitation, die shape, the nature and texture of the workpiece and the requirements of production specifications must be considered (all these factors will affect the selection and application of the spring).
