Chengdu Railway Health School was established in 1947. Its predecessor was Ren 'ai Senior Nursing School affiliated to St. Paul's Bridge Hospital organized by the French Church. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was handed over to the railway department for holding. The school has run schools in Qionghai, Xichang, Majiayuan Road, Xinhua Avenue, Chengdu, Daguanyan and other places. In August 2009, it moved to the current site of Gucheng Town, Pidu District.

The school was managed by China Railway Second Bureau and Sichuan Provincial Department of Education, and was handed over to Chengdu Municipal People's Government on 20 14. In 20 17, in order to adapt to the development, the whole school was handed over to the Sichuan provincial health and wellness Committee for management. Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital is an independent public welfare secondary institution.

Professional setting:

The school has four majors: training nursing, rehabilitation treatment technology, pharmacy and medical laboratory technology, which are connected with five-year secondary and higher vocational schools, and five secondary vocational schools: three-year nursing (including foreign-related nursing), medical laboratory technology, prosthodontics technology, pharmacy and rehabilitation technology.

Among them, nursing specialty is the first batch of national demonstration specialty of the Ministry of Education and the first batch of project construction specialty of demonstration (characteristic) specialty construction plan of secondary vocational schools in Sichuan Province, and prosthodontics technology is the key specialty in Sichuan Province. The school was approved by the first batch of "1+x" pilot institutions for the certificate system of elderly caregivers.
