Chuxiong No.1 Middle School in Yunnan Province was founded in September 1932, and its predecessor was Longquan Academy.

Longquan Academy, founded in 1465, is one of the famous academies with a long history in Yunnan, with a history of more than 500 years.

The school has made brilliant achievements, and 196 1 has been identified as a provincial key middle school.

1962 was renamed Chuxiong No.1 Middle School in Yunnan Province;

1980 was once again recognized as a provincial key middle school.

1986 "China Education Yearbook" records the articles specially introducing Chuxiong No.1 Middle School.

1988 is listed as a national famous school. It is a great honor to have a record of national history and a special book.
