When a liquid is subjected to external pressure, its intermolecular distance will become smaller, its volume will become smaller and its density will increase. When the pressure decreases, the distance between molecules will increase, the volume will expand and the density will decrease, so the pressurized expansion liquid can change its volume with the change of pressure.
