(1) Pruning in planting year
When the length of budding branches exceeds 30 cm, most varieties branch around 20 cm. At this time, 5 ~ 6 branches should be left, and the central branch should be cut off to promote the accelerated growth of branches. If the seedling does not naturally branch, when the new bud grows to about 50 cm above the ground, the core should be removed to promote its branch. When most branches grow to about 30 cm, three branches with the same growth direction should be selected as three main branches for culture. When the three main branches are 50-60 cm long, the nucleated branch is selected as the first side branch. When the new shoot length of the main branch is 50 cm, the core is cultured as the second side branch, and the rest of the auxiliary branches are treated as auxiliary branches and branches. That is, smooth to a horizontal or slightly drooping state, promoting early enrichment and flower bud formation. Until the middle and late September, before the branches stop growing, all new buds should be cored to promote their full maturity. In order to achieve the shape of the year, it is necessary to strengthen the management of fertilizer and water to make it grow sturdily.
(2) Pruning of biennial trees
Continue to choose to keep the lateral branches. When the lateral branches grow to 30 ~ 40 cm, pick the core, separate the lateral branches or cultivate them into branches. When pruning in winter, 2/3 of the extension branches of main branches and side branches are reserved for short cutting. If there are blind nodes on such branches, they should be cut short at the full buds below the blind nodes. The remaining branches are pruned according to the principle of "flowers are slow, not short" to increase the amount of flowers.
(3) Pruning of three-year-old trees
Three years later, the tree has begun to bear fruit, and the tree trend has also eased. It is necessary to cut off the long and middle fruit branches properly. Seedling cultivation techniques are generally limited to less than three years, and subsequent pruning is the same as other normal trees.
