Guilin Medical College, referred to as "Guiyi" for short, is located in Guilin, a world-famous scenic city in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It has been selected into the first batch of "Excellent Doctoral Education and Training Plan" of the Ministry of Education, the national high-level university public graduate program, the national college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training program, and the national high-level university public graduate program.

The comprehensive reform pilot of clinical medicine, the national college students' cultural quality education base, and the physician's humanistic medical practice skill training base are the excellent universities for undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Ministry of Education, the doctoral degree awarding unit, the first batch of national health tourism demonstration base construction cooperation units in Guilin, and the first-class discipline (training) construction universities in Guangxi.

Guilin Medical College was founded in 1935, formerly known as Guilin Senior Midwifery Nurse School, upgraded to Guilin Medical College in 1958, upgraded to Guilin Medical College in 1987, qualified to recruit foreign students in 1993, and was awarded a master's degree in 2006, with 20 14 columns.

As of March 2022, the school has three campuses, namely Lequn, Dongcheng and Lingui, covering an area of 1.500 mu. There are 6 master's authorization points and 7 master's authorization points in the first-level discipline; There are 23 colleges (departments and departments), 9 affiliated hospitals (including 4 directly affiliated hospitals) and 28 clinical practice hospitals.
