What is Jingting Green Snow Tea?
Jingting green snow, with a long history and unique taste, is a treasure in green tea, named after its green bud leaves and snow-like white hair. It was once listed as tribute tea in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it was one of the earliest famous teas in Anhui Province. Produced in Jingting Mountain, North of Xuanzhou City, Anhui Province. The name comes from the name of "Jingting Green Snow", and there are different opinions. In ancient times, at the foot of Jingting Mountain, there was a clever and kind girl named "Green Snow". In order to treat her mother who has been paralyzed in bed for many years, she picks Jingting Mountain tea every year to exchange money. And this kind of camellia is only available on the top of the mountain. Once, when she was picking tea, she saw a tea tree on the cliff, which was lush and tender. I thought picking tea from this tree was enough to get medicine for my mother. So I climbed and climbed and suffered a lot. I finally understand. Unfortunately, my foot slipped and fell off the cliff. The tea leaves picked in her basket are like snowflakes flying all over the sky, full of green eyes, and diffuse in the ravines and depressions of Jingting Mountain. And this new tea takes root and sprouts, grows when it sees the wind, instantly grows into a tea tree and becomes a green tea garden. In order that future generations will no longer suffer from the difficulty of picking tea. In memory of this hardworking and respectable girl, people named the camellia produced here "Jingting Green Snow". Second, after the tea is made and the soup is cooked, the clouds on the mouth of the teacup are steaming and foggy, and there are clouds floating around. After the fog was lifted, snowflakes suddenly appeared in the teacup, just like fairies descending to earth. This "fairy" is the "green snow" girl. Thirdly, after the "Jingting Green Snow" is brewed, the tea leaves in the cup are sinking vertically, and the white hairs attached to the tea leaves are falling slowly, just like snowflakes flying in the shade. The first two statements are lovely legends and stories, and the latter one is named by science. Guo Moruo once wrote the words "Jingting Green Snow" and presented it to Jingting Mountain Tea Farm, which is one of the famous teas in China. Quality features Jingting green snow, superior ecological environment and exquisite tea-making technology have formed its excellent internal quality and unique style. Jingting Mountain area is characterized by deep rock canyons, overlapping rocks, misty clouds, short sunshine, much diffused light and mild and humid climate. Tea gardens are mostly distributed in the foothills, with shady bamboo and wood, shaded by sunshine, fertile and loose black sand, flourishing tea branches and plump and tender buds. Every year from Qingming Festival to Grain Rain, the garden is opened for picking, and the "one leaf holding one core" is specially selected, that is, one leaf of undeveloped bud or two leaves of budding bud, which are one inch long. It is refined by enzyme fixation, molding, grinding, drying and other processes. Tea leaves are green in appearance and white as snow; Shaped like a sparrow tongue, straight and full; Buds and leaves are integrated and inseparable; Uniform flowering, Wan Ru orchids; The soup is clear and blue with tender leaves; The aftertaste is refreshing, fragrant and sweet. Continuous brewing for two or three times will not reduce the fragrance. "Jingting Green Snow" tea is shaped like a sparrow's tongue, with fat, white hair and green color; The soup after soaking is clear and blue, with white hair rolling and dancing like snow tea; The aroma is fresh and thick, like a green mist. Jingting Green Snow is divided into four grades: special, one, two and three. According to the different environment, dry tea has chestnut fragrance, orchid fragrance and gold and silver fragrance. Some drinkers praised the poem: "It's like a sparrow's tongue with white hair, green and tender, with high aroma, mellow taste, touching the heart, and porcelain snowflakes floating in the boiling spring."
