It’s been one and a half months since my rhinoplasty. Why is there bleeding when I use cotton swabs to clean my nostrils?

1. Taboo: avoid spicy, irritating or fishy foods.

2. Eat fruits containing sugar after rhinoplasty surgery. Such as: sugar cane, apples, pears and other fruits, preferably in season.

3. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits after rhinoplasty surgery, because vegetables and fruits are rich in vitamin C, and vitamin C can promote wound healing. Exceptions include onions, peppers, and leeks, as they can easily cause infection and are not conducive to wound healing after rhinoplasty surgery.

4. Eat more milk, eggs, lean meat and other protein-containing foods. Increasing protein in the diet can promote wound healing after rhinoplasty surgery and reduce the chance of infection.

5. Eat more white meat, such as chicken, fish, etc., because meat contains fat. Because lipid deficiencies can lead to impaired wound healing. In addition, fish oil is rich in fatty acids, which has anti-inflammatory effects and is beneficial to wound healing after rhinoplasty surgery.
