In the then capital Chang 'an (Xi, Shaanxi). Li Shimin was born in the Li family in the martial arts school on December 17th (598). His father was Li Yuan, an official of the Sui Dynasty, and his mother was Dou Shi of the Northern Zhou Dynasty. When Li Shimin was 4 years old, a scholar who claimed to have met him came to his home and said to his father Li Yuan, "You are a noble man and have a precious son." When the scholar met Li Shimin, he actually said: "The dragon and phoenix are auspicious, and the posture of the sun, the moon and the sky will definitely help the people at the age of 20."

Li Yuan named his son Shimin, which means "helping the world and the people". As a child, Li Shimin was smart and decisive, informal, educated by Confucianism, studied martial arts and was good at riding and shooting.

After the establishment of the Tang Dynasty, he led the troops to pacify the separatist forces such as Xue, Liu Wuzhou, Dou Jiande, Wang and Liu Heita, and made great contributions to the establishment and unification of the Tang Dynasty, worshiping the generals and sealing the king of Qin. On the fourth day of June (July 2, 626), Wude launched the "Xuanwumen Rebellion", killed the hidden prince Li and the prince Li Yuanji, and made him the Crown Prince. Governing the country and leveling the world with Chinese characters, practicing economy, persuading farmers and mulberry workers to recuperate, making the country prosperous and the people safe, and creating "the rule of chastity." Open up territory to the outside world, attack and destroy East Turkistan and Xueyantuo, conquer Gaochang, Qiuci and Tuguhun, and hit Goguryeo hard. The establishment of the four towns in Anxi, living in harmony with all ethnic groups in the northern region, won the title of "Tiankhan" and laid an important foundation for the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty 100 years.
