Zhoukoudian was first discovered at Site 6, and was discovered by Swedish scientist An Tesheng in 19 18. 192 1 year, An Tesheng, American paleontologist Granci and Austrian paleontologist Stanski discovered the first site of Zhoukoudian, and the second site of Zhoukoudian was discovered in the same year. 1927, Bu officially named the three human teeth found in Zhoukoudian as the Peking species of China ape. This year, the official site of Zhoukoudian began to be excavated. Li Jie, a geologist in China, participated in the excavation and discovered the third and fourth sites in Zhoukoudian. Swedish paleontologist Lin Bu is also the discoverer of the new site. 1929, Pei Wenzhong discovered the fifth, seventh and eighth sites and found them. In the same year, "Peking Man" site was taken as 1 site, and the rest were numbered to the ninth site in turn. Before Site 20, including caves, it was discovered under the leadership of Pei Wenzhong or Jia Lanpo. Sites 20-24 were discovered under the leadership of Jia Lanpo. Beijing ape-man site is located in the west of Zhoukoudian village. There are two parallel hills. There is a big cave in the east, commonly known as the Ape Cave. After 1929, it is called the first position of Zhoukoudian, which is about140m long from east to west and 20m wide in the middle.
