How to plant willow trees
Quality should be controlled when planting willow seedlings. Planting 2-3-year-old willow seedlings is easy to manage and protect, and it is early and effective, but it will delay the seedlings and have a low survival rate. In order to improve the survival rate of afforestation, good quality must be guaranteed. 1. Seedling raising, seedling selection and seedling transportation. 2 ~ 3-year-old seedlings are required to be 40 cm wide and 30 cm deep. Don't tear or break the roots of the seedlings. After emergence, select strong seedlings without pests and diseases, and package them according to their height and thickness. When transporting seedlings, do not expose roots, skin or touch terminal buds. Long-distance transportation should be covered with straw bags or sacks and tied with ropes, and often watered and wetted on the way. Large seedling planting technology (1) Broadleaf seedlings with average row spacing can be cultivated in nursery for 2-4 years and transplanted only once. Therefore, the plant spacing can be slightly larger, generally 0.4-0.6m, and 0.5-1.0m. The evergreen coniferous seedlings such as conifers and cypresses grow slowly. In order to make rational use of land and promote the growth and development of lateral roots, it can be transplanted 2-3 times during the cultivation period. After transplanting the row spacing (cm) and row spacing (m×m) of transplanted conifers, the crown of the tree species with smaller expansion is1—23—40.3x0.3—0.5x0.5—0.7x0.7; The tree species with large expansion is1.0x1.01.0x60, and the planting mode of 0.5x 1.5 is usually deep ploughing, fine gardening and full fertilization, and digging holes according to the predetermined plant spacing. When planting, attention should be paid to the stretching of seedling root system, no knitting, proper planting depth (3-5 cm deeper than seedling rhizosphere), surface soil at the bottom of the hole, decomposed manure can be applied when conditions permit, then the surface soil can be padded, the seedlings can be stabilized and irrigated immediately after planting. If it is necessary to transplant many times, the standard of keeping the root system for each transplant should be 20%-30% smaller than the standard of rooting when the seedlings leave the nursery. At present, some garden nurseries in northern China use tree planting machines to transplant poplar, willow and other seedlings, with good results, simple operation, labor saving, high efficiency and good quality. The tending management of big seedlings is basically the same as that of ordinary seedlings, and it is also relatively simple. Because of the long transplanting time and the long distance between plants, it is generally necessary to fertilize, irrigate, spray pesticides and loosen the soil to weed one by one. Especially in the fast-growing period of seedlings, timely irrigation and topdressing should be carried out to promote the accelerated growth of seedlings, and at the same time, attention should be paid to the prevention and control of pests and diseases. In addition, according to different purposes and requirements, the cultivated seedlings are pruned to a certain extent.
