Common symptoms: Thumb stiffness is generally manifested as toe deflection at the first metatarsophalangeal joint, and obvious osteophyte appears inside the joint. Some patients' soft tissue at the osteophyte is red, swollen and watery due to the long-term friction and extrusion of shoes, which is called bunions. Patients with severe hallux valgus may have deflection of other toes and straddle. Patients with hallux valgus do not always have pain, and the degree of deformity is not directly proportional to the degree of pain. The main cause of pain is the metatarsal bone of the thumb.
