What are the characteristics of measuring DC motor speed with groove optocoupler?
Characteristics of slot optocoupler in measuring DC motor speed;

1, accurate, and the measurement is not disturbed by natural light;

2, no contact, does not affect the rotating speed of the rotating shaft;

3, rapid response, adapt to high-speed measurement.

Principle:

Groove optocoupler is a direct shielding optocoupler. The infrared diode at the input end has a constant current and is in a continuous light-emitting state.

The rotating shaft of the motor is equipped with one or more shading sheets and a porous shading disc. When the rotating shaft rotates, the light shield blocks the light emitted by the diode, the phototransistor at the output end is turned off, and the C pin will get a high level. When there is no light shield to block the light emitted by the diode, the phototransistor at the output end is turned on, and the C pin will get a low level. The counter can count the number of these high levels. Then, through calculation, the rotational speed of the motor is obtained.
