4. Straighten the repair strip and attach it to the polished surface of the conveyor belt, and use a rubber hammer or compaction roller to knock and compact it to drive out the air.

Warm reminder: If the ambient temperature is too low, it is recommended to use an iodine tungsten lamp or a hot air gun to heat for 0.5-1 hour. If the time allows, appropriately extending the heating time will help improve the strength of the bonding surface.

Hot vulcanization repair of conveyor belt

1. According to the size of the damage to the conveyor belt, make at least 15~20mm larger around the damage, draw a cutting repair line, and cut it at an angle of 45 degrees. And peel off the damaged cover glue, being careful not to damage the underlying fabric layer or steel wire layer when cutting.

2. Use an angle grinder and a tungsten steel grinding disc to deeply grind the damaged parts of the conveyor belt. It is recommended to grind 3mm.

3. Cover the polished conveyor belt with a fabric reinforcement layer or a steel wire reinforcement layer, apply hot vulcanizing agent to the reinforcement layer and damaged parts, and cut the unvulcanized core rubber into oblique cuts. , apply hot vulcanizing agent in the same way (the size of the unvulcanized surface glue should be consistent with the size of the damaged part).

4. Use a hot vulcanizing repair device or vulcanizing machine to perform pressurization and heating vulcanization.

Warm reminder: The temperature of the vulcanizing machine controller is controlled between 145-150℃. When the temperatures of the upper and lower vulcanizing plates are stable, start vulcanizing for 35-45 minutes. (Depending on the thickness of the belt, each vulcanized plate can vulcanize about 1mm of rubber every 4 minutes.) When the temperature of the vulcanized plate drops below 70°C, the water pressure of the vulcanizer can be released, and then the vulcanizer can be removed.
