Jingba eye maintenance
Eyes are the windows to the soul, and dogs are no exception. The eyes of healthy dogs are flexible, bright and full of vitality, and there is no abnormal secretion. However, due to the large eyeball and many exposures, the common problems of Jingba dogs mainly include abnormal secretion, trauma, trichiasis and so on.
If it is found that Jingba often scratches his eyes or blinks with his claws, it is probably caused by eye problems and pain. If it is caused by foreign body entering the eyes, you can wipe it off with eye wash water, you can open your eyes, soak the linen bandage with eye wash water, and then wipe your eyes. The expression of eye trauma is that the dog's eyes suddenly hurt or can't be opened all the time. You should carefully look for obvious foreign objects, especially glass fragments, and then carefully remove them. You can also wash its eyes with clean hot water to wash away foreign bodies. Don't put the dog in too bright environment. Take him to the doctor as soon as possible. Don't let him rub his injured eyes with his claws, and don't let him rub his eyes with something.
The eyes of Jingba dogs may also have trichiasis, that is, inverted eyelashes, which irritates the eyeball, causing eye pain and redness, blurred vision, conjunctival inflammation and corneal opacity. These problems can lead to serious injuries and even blindness. Ask a reliable veterinarian to do surgery and remove part of the eyelids (similar to double eyelid plastic surgery). If the operation is unsuccessful, the eyelids will be too small and the eyeballs will be exposed more. Of course, in addition to surgical treatment, it can also be removed by electrolysis.
Abnormal eye secretions are the most common in Beijing, and eye secretions, that is, tears overflow, are the most common symptoms of eye diseases. You can wash your eyes with 2% boric acid once a day or once every other day. Jingba is a short-nosed dog, and it is easy to have eyes protruding to form nasolacrimal duct compression, resulting in two long brown marks near the nose. If there is nothing wrong with your eyes, just cut your brown hair and blow dry it. But if the condition is serious, please see a doctor as soon as possible and don't take medicine casually. Long-term use of some eye drops containing steroids can easily lead to glaucoma, so we must be vigilant.
Beijingers have large eyeballs and many lacrimal glands, and many tears often flow from the inner corner of their eyes. Hair pollution affects the appearance, so you should always check your eyes. Too much water, too red eyes, and "triple eyelids" (indicating eyelid edema) are all signs of illness, so you should seek medical attention immediately. When some infectious diseases (such as canine distemper). ) occurs in dogs, especially when suffering from eye diseases, the eyelids are often red and swollen, and a large amount of mucus accumulates in the corners of the eyes. While quickly treating other diseases, you can gently wipe your eyes with a 2% boric acid cotton ball (or cold boiled water) instead of wiping them back and forth. Remember not to use dry cotton balls, because cotton wool is easy to stick to your eyes, and never stab your eyes with hard objects such as fingers or cotton sticks. After scrubbing, drop eye drops or ointment to eliminate inflammation. Pay attention when dropping eye drops. Put your hands on the dog's head to avoid shaking. Drop eye drops on the back and top. Keep the distributor and eyes level.
If the secretion is turbid or purulent (sticky and discolored), it is probably an eye infection. When this happens, it should be noted that the hair around the dog's eyes can't be entangled together, otherwise the secretions will accumulate, which will inevitably lead to infection. It is recommended that you soak cotton gauze in warm water or use special eye drops to wash around your eyes. Then take the dog to a reliable animal hospital for treatment.
In addition, when choosing a bath for Jingba dogs, you should choose a bath that is not irritating to dogs, such as choosing oatmeal conditioning bath for Sargent dogs. If you accidentally get it in the dog's eyes, it won't be too irritating, but try to be careful. After all, it is uncomfortable for CMB!
