It is a very troublesome thing that paronychia always recurs. Finding the cause of recurrence can cure the disease. I used to be a paronychia patient, so I would like to introduce my own methods: First, apply fish fat ointment for anti-inflammatory and detumescence treatment. After the swelling is reduced, carefully clean the hard skin of nail groove with something (I use a small round file) to prevent the nail from squeezing the nail groove again. It is worth noting that the shoes are not properly worn and the toes are too narrow, which will cause the nails to squeeze the nail groove abnormally. If the nail is cut too short, the soft tissue will grow and occupy the position of the nail without the nail cover, and the soft tissue will be squeezed abnormally when the nail grows out. Wearing the right shoes, properly trimming the nail length (as long as possible, not short), so that the nail and nail groove can coexist peacefully, which is the key to prevent recurrence. At present, if the nails are short, it will be smoother to temporarily polish the sharp corners on both sides of the nails.
