Also:1981September 18, cultural relics surveyors in Yiyuan County rode horses on the Anshan root 1000 meters northeast of Jiuhui Village in Tumen Town, and found an ape-man skull fossil. Later, an excavation team composed of Lu Zuen, an archaeological professor from Peking University, Shandong University, provincial museum and county library, found 1 ape-man skull, 2 eyebrow bones, 8 teeth, 1 humerus, femur and ribs, and 10/0 kinds of companion animal bones. Appraised by the Institute of Paleoanthropology of China Academy of Sciences, Peking University and other related professors and experts, it is indeed the remains of Paleolithic apes, belonging to ancient human fossils unearthed by more than two apes. It was named "Yiyuan Ape Man" by the relevant state units. The skull fossils of Yiyuan ape-man are kept in Shandong Provincial Museum.
