Luoyang is the first batch of key industrial bases in New China, with strong industrial and scientific research strength. Over the years, High-tech Zone has made full use of Luoyang's resource advantages and industrial characteristics, faced the world and industrial future, made great efforts to guide the development of characteristic industries, formed a complete industrial chain and industrial cluster, created a unique high-tech industrial gathering highland in our region, and strived to create a "characteristic high-tech zone" with outstanding industrial advantages.

(1) Strive to build the main R&D and production base of high-purity silicon materials and photovoltaic industry in China.

The silicon material industry in Luoyang High-tech Zone is based on polysilicon, and two industrial chains, photovoltaic industry and integrated circuit industry, are extended downward, and on this basis, an industrial cluster is initially formed.

At present, Luoyang Zhongsi Company has formed a production capacity of 3,000 tons of polysilicon, and four 2,000-ton polysilicon projects are under construction, which are expected to be put into operation by the end of 2009. Its "863 Plan" project "24 pairs of energy-saving polysilicon reduction furnaces" passed the appraisal of the Ministry of Science and Technology, completely breaking the monopoly of foreign polysilicon production technology and market in China. At the end of 2008, the National Key Engineering Laboratory of China Silicon High-tech Company was approved, achieving a zero breakthrough in the province.

In 2007, the Provincial Information Industry Department, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Science and Technology Department jointly approved Luoyang High-tech Zone as a provincial silicon electronic industry base. In 2008, the Provincial Science and Technology Department recognized Luoyang High-tech Zone as a provincial-level silicon photovoltaic characteristic industrial base. It is estimated that by the end of the 11th Five-Year Plan, the silicon electronic materials industry in high-tech zones will strive to reach a production scale of 30 billion yuan.

(2) Strive to build the most influential titanium (tungsten and molybdenum) material research center and industrial development base in China.

Titanium, tungsten and molybdenum are all called "strategic metals", which is of great strategic significance to national economic construction and social development. Luoyang has a solid scientific and technological foundation in the research and development of titanium industry. Investment casting technology of titanium alloy with independent intellectual property rights in 725 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation. Investment casting products have reached the international advanced level, and the technological level and production capacity of titanium and titanium alloy castings are among the best in China. At present, a number of titanium industrialization projects represented by Shuangrui Precision Casting Titanium Industry have been formed in our district. 725 5000-ton titanium strip projects are under construction. After the completion of these projects, a complete industrial chain will be formed from raw material sponge titanium to cast titanium, titanium strip, titanium products and titanium equipment, forming an overall competitive advantage.

Moro Group was successfully listed in Hong Kong in April 2007. In cooperation with Phillips Dodge, an American molybdenum giant, the company is building a 40,000-ton molybdenum smelting technical transformation project. Luoyang High-tech Molybdenum-Tungsten Material Co., Ltd. invested 386 million yuan, with an annual output of/kloc-0.5 million tons, and deep technical transformation projects are also under construction. High-tech Zone is preparing to build Luoyang Tungsten and Molybdenum Science and Technology Park, promoting the establishment of Moro Group Research Center, constantly improving the molybdenum and tungsten industrial chain, accelerating the formation of industrial clusters, and promoting the rapid development of molybdenum and tungsten industry in our region.

(3) Strive to build the most distinctive special bearing R&D center and industrial development base in China.

Luoyang bearing industry has obvious advantages in technology, independent innovation, products, talents and equipment manufacturing in China. Axis Research Technology Company in this area is the first listed company in Henan Province. During the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, Axis Research Technology Company participated in the key scientific and technological development project of China bearing industry 18, and won 3 1 national awards. The development of high-end precision bearing industry represented by Axis Research Technology has driven many private enterprises in the region.

At present, the High-tech Zone is taking SINOMACH Tenth Institute International Engineering Co., Ltd. (formerly the 10th Design and Research Institute of the Ministry of Machinery Industry) as the technical platform, striving to build a high-end precision bearing industry, and strive to build our zone into the most distinctive special bearing R&D center and industrial development base in China.

(D) Strive to build the most dynamic R&D center for advanced equipment manufacturing and the processing and production base for complete machines and complete sets of equipment in China.

Bei Bo Company is a representative of private scientific and technological enterprises cultivated in our region, mainly engaged in the research and development of glass deep processing technology and equipment based on glass tempering technology. At present, the company is the world's largest manufacturer of glass deep processing equipment, and its products have been applied to many important projects at home and abroad, such as the National Grand Theatre, the Bird's Nest Project, the main venue of the Olympic Games, and the Water Cube Project of the swimming pool. Its own intellectual property rights, market share and sales volume rank first in the world. The domestic market share of glass processing equipment reaches 75%, and the international market share reaches 40%.

At present, Luoyang High-tech Zone has initially formed the characteristics of the equipment manufacturing industry represented by the glass plate bending and tempering unit of Bei Bo Company and the non-ferrous metal foil rolling unit of Zhongse Science and Technology Company.

In addition to the above four pillar industries, the high-tech zone will also cultivate biopharmaceutical industry as a key industry in advance. Pleco Bioengineering Co., Ltd. is committed to the research and development of high-end new veterinary biological products and is listed as the first batch of platform construction projects supported by the National Innovation Fund. The company has developed new veterinary drugs and vaccines in seven countries, among which five new vaccines have filled the gaps at home and abroad and made important contributions to the comprehensive prevention and control of avian influenza. Henan Veterinary Medicine Engineering Technology Research Center, which was put into use by the company in 2007, is the largest and only provincial engineering technology research center in China.
