There is a superstition among the people that a pregnant woman who ate rabbit meat gave birth to a baby where whole pieces were missing. This statement is naturally unreasonable. A good boy, just because of the gap, how much sadness has been added to his parents! When children are young and ignorant, they don't feel shy, but once they grow up, they add a lot of unspeakable anguish!
So how is cleft lip caused?
People think there are five main reasons.
Genetic factors: parents with cleft lip and palate can be passed on to future generations. According to statistics, the incidence of consanguineous marriage is three times higher than that of non-consanguineous marriage. The reason is that both men and women have more chances to carry the same disease-causing gene. In daily life, we can often see that in a family or within the scope of a family and immediate family members, there are often fathers and sons, mothers and daughters or brothers and sisters, cousins with the same deformity.
Drug action: taking anticancer drugs, hormone drugs, sleeping pills, anticancer drugs, cortisone, etoine, chlorpheniramine, methylphenidate, Mink Jing, etc. In the first three months of pregnancy, or receiving radiation and isotopes in the abdomen, the cells of the embryo can mutate, leading to cleft lip and palate deformity.
Virus infection: After pregnancy, especially within 3 months, women suffer from rubella, influenza, herpes zoster and other diseases. Because of the virus, cleft lip and palate may occur, and there may be other deformities.
Endocrine effects: Adrenal cortical hormone can obviously hinder maxillary fusion. If the pregnant woman is pregnant for 2 ~ 3 months, it can promote the secretion of adrenocortical hormone in the body due to mental trauma or emotional abnormality, and can also give birth to a child with three mouths.
Nutritional deficiency: If a woman is malnourished in the first three months of pregnancy and obviously lacks calcium, phosphorus and iron, especially vitamins B2, A and C, it may lead to fetal cleft lip and palate.
