The distance sensor uses the principle of time of flight to detect the distance of an object. The main products are mobile phone distance sensors, long-distance measurement sensors, etc., which are applied to smart belts.
Distance sensor, also known as displacement sensor, is a kind of sensor, which is used to sense the distance between it and an object to complete a preset function, and has been widely used at present.
principle
The "time of flight" method is to measure the time from the emission to the reflection of the object by emitting a particularly short light pulse, so as to calculate the distance from the object.
Distance sensors can be divided into optical distance sensors, infrared distance sensors and ultrasonic distance sensors according to different working principles. At present, most of the distance sensors used in mobile phones are infrared distance sensors, including an infrared emitting tube and an infrared receiving tube. When the infrared ray emitted by the transmitting tube is received by the receiving tube, it means that the distance is close and the screen needs to be closed to avoid misoperation. When the receiving tube does not receive the infrared emitted by the transmitting tube, it means that the distance is far away and it is not necessary to turn off the screen. Other types of distance sensors work in a similar way, judging the distance by the emission and reception of certain substances, such as ultrasonic waves, light pulses and so on.
