How to trim Longbai?
Cylindrical cypress has obvious trunk and many main branches. If the main branches come from the same part of the trunk, even if they are distributed in all directions, they are not allowed to exist at the same time. One branch must be cut off, leaving only one main branch in each round. The main branches are generally 20 ~ 30cm apart, showing a scattered spiral shape. The main branch should be cut short, the cut should fall on the small side branch that grows upward, and the main branch should be cut into a cylindrical tree shape. The twigs between the main branches should be thinned as soon as possible to facilitate light transmission. In the growth period, when the new branches grow to 10 ~ 15 cm, they should be pruned in turn, 2 ~ 4 times a year, so as to inhibit the excessive growth of branches, make the branches dense and form a state of holding columns in groups. Pay attention to control the competing branches at the top of the trunk, and don't branch into a tree. Every year, the lateral branches whose main branches extend outward should be picked, cut off or chopped in time to change the growth direction of the lateral branches and make them spiral upwards. Pruning can be repeated every year.
