How to prune and reshape plants?
Indoor ornamental plants usually do not need pruning. Only when the growth is too large or uneven, it is necessary to trim and adjust the plant shape. The main links include coring, thinning and plastering.

Picking, also called coring, is to remove tiny growth points at the top of plants, destroy their top advantages, and promote the buds at the bottom to sprout into new branches (see figure). Cutting or sowing seedlings mostly adopt the method of removing the heart, which can make them branch more, produce multiple flower heads and form beautiful plant shapes. Sometimes the core can be removed 2 ~ 3 times continuously, so that a shoot can sprout 6 ~ 8 branches. Picking is usually used for herbaceous flowers or small shrubs. In addition, the excessive growth of plants can be inhibited by removing the core, which can promote the full growth of branches and make flowers and fruits bigger.
