The school-running projects involve self-study assistance, adult education, vocational education, on-the-job postgraduate training and vocational skills training. The college has a group of outstanding teachers and teaching management personnel, with more than 300 full-time (part-time) faculty members, including more than 60 with intermediate and senior professional titles. In the process of running the school, advanced educational concepts have been formed, rich teaching experience has been accumulated, a sound management mechanism has been established, and a large number of qualified talents have been trained for the country. It has a good reputation for cooperation with many universities inside and outside the province, and has been awarded the title of "Best Cooperation Unit" by relevant universities many times. Recently, an agreement to build a new agricultural college was signed with the "China Rural Issues Research Center" of Central China Normal University.

With the approval of the superior party committee and labor union, the college successively established the general party branch and labor union in early 2010, striving to create a progressive, united and harmonious working, learning and living environment for teachers and students. The college is currently planning and constructing a new campus in the Vocational Education Park of Gedian Development Zone. The first phase of the new campus covers an area of ??100 acres. It is planned to build teaching buildings, student canteens, dormitories, activity centers, and training bases. The new campus is scheduled to be put into use in 2012.
