How to grow longan?
Longan planting methods: plot selection, rational planting, weeding and fertilization, shaping and pruning.

1, plot selection

As longan is a fruit in the south subtropical zone, it likes a warm, humid and sunny climate. Therefore, longan should be planted in hilly or flat land without severe cold and frost in winter and facing the sun, and sandy red soil or sandy loam with deep soil layer should be selected, and then deep tillage should be carried out.

2. Rational planting

Add the decomposed farmyard manure into the sorted plot, stir it evenly, dig a big hole with a diameter of 100 cm and a depth of 80-90 cm according to the row spacing of 5 m× 7 m, then put the longan seedlings into the hole, straighten up and fill the soil, and finally water the roots and cover the hole surface with hay.

3. Weeding and fertilizing

Orchards planted with longan should be mowed 3-4 times a year to eliminate weeds and preserve water and fertilizer. Malignant weeds can be sprayed with 20% glyphosate emulsion 65,438+0.5 kg, and combined with scarifying soil to apply hydrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer before pulling out new buds every time.

4, plastic pruning

Within 2-3 years after planting, when 3-4 main branches are evenly distributed on the plant, the longan tree should be pruned year by year to increase the number of branches and form a round crown. In addition, in spring and summer, the new shoots should be cored and the drooping branches, internal branches and pests and diseases should be cut off to prevent the crown from being too low.
