Abies australis

Australian fir, an evergreen tree, is generally potted as a young tree with a height of no more than 2 meters. I like warm and humid environment, and the crown is pointed and dark green. The stem is erect, and the lateral branches are spiral and extend horizontally.

During spring to autumn, you should water more, but avoid watering in the basin. When drying at high temperature, water should be sprayed on potted plants and nearby ground to cool and humidify. Water in time, don't wait for the soil to dry before watering. Since late autumn, watering should be gradually reduced to enhance its cold resistance. Topdressing once every two weeks in the growing season, and compound fertilizer containing nitrogen and potassium is suitable. Insufficient supply of fertilizer tends to turn the branches and leaves yellow.

Specific management principles and measures

Abies australis is one of the three major ornamental trees in the world. Taxodium ascendens is not afraid of light intensity, but also can withstand weak light. Its vitality is very tenacious, both resistant to moisture and drought. It is evergreen all the year round. As long as it stays above zero, you can survive the winter without worms. It is also one of the masters of air purification, which is very suitable for long-term maintenance in indoor with insufficient light. Watering water at ordinary times, dry or wet, can save a lot of waiting time. When potted, it is better to mix garden soil, humus soil and sphagnum moss. Potted plants should choose small seedlings, and choose suitable flowerpots according to the size of seedlings.

I like warmth, sunshine, drought tolerance and cold. I like to grow in humid and ventilated environment and loose and fertile acidic sandy soil to avoid water accumulation. Specific regulatory measures:

First, in winter, we should keep warm indoors. If the room temperature is around 5℃, it can be safely wintered.

2. In the growing season of summer and autumn, potted plants can be placed in the outer semi-shade, or in a ventilated place with a bright window. Avoid exposure to the hot sun above 35℃, and do not place it in the dark for a long time. This will cause the branches and leaves to wither or grow white, which will affect the ornamental value.

Third, in terms of fertilizer and water, when the temperature is high in summer and autumn, water should be used to prevent dryness, and the basin soil should be kept moist. And topdressing 1-2 times a month. In early spring or autumn and winter, the basin soil should be dry to avoid being too wet to prevent the roots from rotting.
