Hello, everyone. I am Xiaohua. I'm glad to meet you here again. According to Xiaohua, most flower lovers who like to grow flowers should know that Yushu is a flower with high ornamental value. Its leaves are very textured and plants are full, which is deeply loved by flower lovers. Recently, Xiaohua received a confession from a flower friend that Yushu had withered after being pruned by him. The reason why this happens is that the florist didn't master the correct pruning method during maintenance! Then how to trim it? Let's follow Xiaohua and have a look!
First of all, if you want to trim Yushu, the first thing you need to master is the pruning time. The pruning time of Yushu is very flexible, and it can be pruned normally from April to September, but if it needs to be pruned again, it should be selected in the dormant period. Yushu in early spring has not yet entered the rapid growth time, at this time pruning can quickly promote the growth of its branches and buds; In late autumn, if the temperature is below 15 degrees, Yushu will stop growing at this time, and pruning is feasible at this time!
Precautions for pruning:
1. First of all, if Yushu wants to grow stronger, it is necessary to prune some diseased branches, weak branches and cross branches, which will not only make its plant shape fuller, but also reduce the consumption of nutrients and accelerate the growth of branches and leaves.
2. Pay attention to the local temperature before pruning Yushu every time. If the temperature is higher than 35 degrees or lower than 5 degrees, pruning is not allowed to avoid plant death.
3. After each pruning, it is not acceptable to put it in a ventilated environment in time, give more sunshine, get wet in the rain or spray water on Yushu leaves to speed up wound healing. (If you want its wound to heal quickly and avoid bacterial infection, you can also apply carbendazim solution to its wound to speed up recovery. )
Matters needing attention in daily maintenance: 1, soil selection
Yushu doesn't have high requirements for soil selection. Ordinary garden soil can be used to feed it, but if it is to speed up its growth, it is best to use sandy soil with good drainage and high fertility.
2. Lighting requirements
Yushu likes the light, so it needs sufficient light for daily maintenance. Xiaohua is here to share with you a method to judge whether Yushu receives enough light: observe its branches and leaves, if the color becomes lighter and longer, it means that the light is insufficient; If there is enough light, its leaves will show red edges.
water
Yushu doesn't like water, so water should be reduced daily. Generally, when small flowers are cultivated, they are watered once a week. If you are a friend from the south, don't directly expose Yushu, so as not to cause waterlogging.
4. Temperature
The most suitable temperature for the growth of Yushu is 15~25℃, and its cold tolerance is not strong. It is necessary to keep its temperature above 7℃ in winter cultivation to avoid frostbite.
5, fertilization
When Yushu is still in the growing period, you can slowly supplement nutrients with slow-release fertilizers; And when it is in the flowering period, that is, in spring, then when it is about to welcome the spring, you can use potassium dihydrogen phosphate, dilute it with water 1000 times, and then use it to water the flowers and promote the growth of the flowers!
Xiaohua thinks: Xiaohua was very surprised when he first received the withered situation when a flower friend raised Yushu, because Yushu was relatively easy to cultivate. If it is really difficult to control the degree of pruning, then you need to learn a few points to pay attention to when pruning, and then you can make it grow!
