First, plastic surgery.
1. Tree selection: Because of the characteristics of peach trees, such as weak drying, rapid disappearance of central branches, open crown, strict requirements on light conditions and easy death of internal branches, three main branches and two main branches are often used in production, among which three main branches are the most widely used tree species at present. There are many Taoyuan mountains in our area, and we can also choose the natural and happy shapes of the two main branches according to the situation of the garden.
2. Fixed stem: set stem immediately after peach seedlings are planted. The height of the stem is generally about 40 cm, and the garden with large slope, fertile soil and small plant spacing can be set higher, and vice versa.
3. Plastic surgery in winter of planting year: adjust the angle of main branches. Generally, the first branch is 60 ~ 70 degrees, the second branch is 50 ~ 60 degrees, and the third branch is 45 degrees. In order to keep the growth potential balanced and evenly distributed among the three main branches, the azimuth between the main branches is 120 degrees. The cutting length of the main branch is mainly determined by the growth potential of the main branch, and generally 60 ~ 80 cm is appropriate. Cut the mouth and leave the lateral buds. If the three main branches are not balanced, we can use the methods of heavy cutting of strong branches, light cutting of weak branches and opening angle of strong branches to balance them. Auxiliary branches or other branches that hinder the growth of main branches should be thinned out. If there is room for development, we should make full use of it, cultivate it into fruiting branches and bear fruit early. Generally, no fruiting branches are left within 20cm below the incision of the main branch extension branches, so as not to affect the growth of the extension branches.
Second, pruning.
Winter pruning methods: winter pruning methods are mainly short cutting and thinning. Short cutting is a method to shorten branches, enhance meristematic ability, promote the growth of fruit branches and reduce the position of hair branches, so as to enhance the growth potential of new shoots. Mainly used for the regeneration of fruit branches. Pruning means cutting branches from the base. The specific method is to prune some upright branches, over-dense branches and twigs, and keep some oblique or horizontal long fruit branches.
