On the 25th of last month, Hu, deputy director of the Department of Cardiac Surgery of the Ninth Hospital, led a team to perform aortic valve replacement for patients with the close cooperation of anesthesiology department, nursing department and relevant functional departments. During the operation, the aortic valve leaflet was found to be thickened, curled and poor in texture, and it was removed. Considering the patient's heavy weight, he must continue to do heavy physical work in the future and choose to implant No.25 mechanical valve to achieve perfect hemodynamic effect. The operation was very smooth, and the trachea was extubated two hours after operation. Three days later, Hu's team performed aortic valve replacement and ascending aorta replacement for another patient with heart disease, with severe calcified stenosis, ventricular septal myocardial hypertrophy, partial obstruction, aneurysm-like expansion of ascending aorta, and the inner diameter was nearly 6 cm. The operation was very smooth. The tracheal intubation was removed that night after the operation, and he was discharged a week later.
The Department of Cardiology of the Ninth Hospital is one of the constituent units of the new round of national key discipline cardiovascular medicine announced by the Ministry of Education. In recent years, under the leadership of Professor Wang Changqian, Vice President, we have vigorously promoted the discipline construction, extensively carried out all kinds of complex emergency PCI (emergency green channel), applied high technology to carry out coronary intervention diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, and carried out percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), coronary stent implantation, and intracavitary rotational atherectomy. Nearly 2000 cases of interventional therapy are completed every year. Under the leadership of Director Hu, the cardiac surgery team actively carried out off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, valvuloplasty, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement, minimally invasive mitral valve replacement assisted by thoracoscope and reoperation.
