What achievements did Wang Ji make in surgery in Ming Dynasty?
Wang Ji (1463 ~ 1539), alias Shishan, was born as a doctor in Qimen, Anhui Province. He studied medicine with his father for decades and became a contemporary famous doctor, especially in the study of medical theory. In A.D. 15 19, he summed up his experience in surgical research and wrote a book, Principles of Surgery. As far as the development of surgery is concerned, it may be regarded as a masterpiece of surgical theory. Wang emphasized the holistic view of surgical disease treatment, and creatively put forward: "surgery must be based on the inside, and it depends on the outside, ... and then the inside is the outside, and the outside is the heritage." The so-called "regardless of its roots, but the outcome is the same" will almost inevitably be mistaken for yourself by others, but you don't know it, and others will be mistaken for yourself without realizing it. Under the influence of Wang's academic thought, surgery has improved obviously in theory.
