2. Japanese bell is a deciduous shrub, with high plant type, about 2-3 meters high, crown width of about 2 meters, round crown and red branchlets. Simple leaves alternate, usually clustered at the top of branches. The shape of the leaves is oval and very beautiful, and the edges of the leaves are serrated. The color of leaves changes with the seasons. In spring and summer, the color of leaves is bright green, and it will turn bright red in autumn. Japanese clocks can blossom. Generally, the flowering period is from April to May every year, and the flowers and leaves bloom together, which belongs to the terminal drooping of the umbel. The number of florets can reach 10, and the pedicel is slender. Corolla white, flower diameter about 8 mm.
3. I like sunny, warm and humid environment, and it is suitable for growing in neutral to slightly acidic soil rich in humus, loose and breathable, and well drained.
4. There are two main propagation methods of Japanese bell: sowing and cutting. You can choose sowing in late winter or early spring, or you can choose sowing in summer or autumn. Cut semi-lignified branches from strong mother plants to prepare the matrix for cutting propagation.
