Why doesn't the bachelor tree have leaves? How to raise a bachelor tree?
There is a tree in Euphorbiaceae, which is 3 ~ 6 meters high. It is just a smooth branch all the year round, without leaves, and occasionally there are small leaves, so people give it a nickname, called bachelor tree. Why does this tree have no leaves? This has a lot to do with water saving and drought resistance. The hometown of this kind of tree is in the arid area of Africa. It has not rained for many years, so it is difficult to drink a few drops of water, so their leaves gradually become smaller or even disappear completely. This can save water and reduce evaporation. The branches of the bachelor tree turn green, replacing the leaves for photosynthesis. These characteristics are the result of adapting to harsh natural conditions.

The bachelor tree can be cultivated in the open field in southern China, and potted plants are mostly used in other areas. Potted plants are only 40 ~ 60 cm long, and the whole plant is composed of rod-shaped branchlets, which are beautiful all year round. Propagation is carried out by cutting. In the spring and summer growing season, cut off the branches and stems, dry the incision in the shade, insert it into the sand, and pour a small amount of water, so that it can take root and become seedlings about 1 month. When potted for viewing, the soil must be kept moderately dry, and it can be safely wintered indoors in winter as long as the temperature is kept at 5 ~ 10℃. When the climate gets warmer in spring, move the basin to the balcony or courtyard for trimming and shaping. Only regular pruning can promote the germination of new branches and make the plants beautiful and plump. Adequate sunshine is required in the growth period, and 1 decomposed liquid fertilizer and phosphorus and potassium fertilizer are applied every month, and the suitable growth temperature is 25 ~ 30℃.
