Introduction of Changchun People's Square
Changchun People's Square is the largest street garden in the city. In the center of the square is a monument in the shape of an airplane, and there is a memorial tower for the martyrs of the Soviet Red Army, which was erected to commemorate the 23 Soviet pilots who died in Changchun in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. The front of the tower faces north, engraved with the words "Soviet martyrs are immortal", while the back faces south, engraved with the words "Sino-Soviet friendship lasts forever".
