Yushu is more ornamental only if it looks antique and has lush foliage. However, many flower friends raise Yushu, but their growth and development are particularly slow. Two years later, the main stem is not thick, and the branches are still in a mess, losing their ornamental value. Then how can we make Yushu grow rapidly? As long as the four key links are well done, it will grow into a thick old bonsai in a few years.
First of all, the soil should be soft and fertile.
The branches of Yushu are all fleshy. As long as there is a soil layer suitable for growth, the growth rate will be very fast. When planting, I am afraid to use some potted soil with no nutrients and poor permeability. After watering in the middle and late stage, the bonsai soil will gradually harden and agglomerate, and the roots can't digest and absorb the nutrients in this soil, so the upward trend will get worse every day, and the branches will look weak.
If we want Yushu to grow fast, we should consider nutrient soil. Try not to dig some sticky soil on the roadside at will. We can use culture soil, or collect some humus soil in the forest and add a small amount of culture soil. Only when the bonsai soil is soft, breathable and contains nutrients can plants grow rapidly.
Second, fertilize on time.
Many flower friends think that there is no need to fertilize Yushu. In fact, if all green plants want to grow vigorously, they should be fertilized and supplemented with vitamins. In particular, the potted plants in Yushu have been raised for many years, and the nutrients in the potted soil are quite scarce, which can not meet the requirements of plant growth and development at all, and will become weaker and weaker in the middle and late stages.
If you don't have the time and energy to manage it, you can also apply some base fertilizer to the basin when you put it down, or mix some organic fertilizer with better compost in the nutrient soil, so that if you don't apply fertilizer for a year or so, it will not affect the normal growth and development.
If he has self-management, he can use both organic fertilizer and inorganic fertilizer, apply compound fertilizer 1 ~ 2 times a month, and often bury some organic fertilizers such as cow dung, pig manure and bean cake in the flowerpot, which can make the soil layer softer and the fertility longer.
Third, lack of light will flourish.
Raising Yushu, under the condition of sufficient fertilizer and water, can't let it lack sunshine. The nutrients needed for plant growth and development are also produced through photosynthesis. Under the condition of poor sunshine, plants tend to flourish, with increasingly scattered plant shapes, slender branches and soft leaves. I can't even find the direction of pruning, because every branch is fragile.
Therefore, those Yushu trees that have been maintained and managed indoors for a long time cannot be kept out of the sun for a long time. They should be moved to a well-lit place regularly to get more sunshine. This will not only make the plants grow more vigorously, but also make the branches age as soon as possible and become more and more antique.
Fourth, be diligent in haircut and plastic surgery.
The slow growth rate of Yushu is partly related to the lack of pruning. Because of its rapid growth and development, a large number of new branches will appear every year. If they are not pruned regularly, the branches will occupy more nutrients, which will make the main stem unable to grow and develop rapidly.
In the process of Yushu's growth and development, we should always cut off those useless branches, especially the bottom, which loves to sprout new buds.
Other branches that look too dense can also be cut short. If the branches are long and thin, they can be cut short, which can keep the plants dense, in good shape, the trunk growing fast and the ornamental value will be better.
