The bony patients with buck teeth smile most obviously, and some whole teeth and gums are exposed, which especially affects the overall image. Due to the protrusion of teeth and alveolar bone, the lower lip is everted, and the chin lip groove (between the lower lip and chin) becomes shallow or disappears. And this position is an important symbol of facial aesthetics. If it disappears, it will look ugly. In addition, patients with skeletal buck teeth have the characteristics of backward chin and short chin from the side.

If the teeth are buckteeth, only orthodontic treatment is needed. For mild skeletal buck teeth, premolars can also be used after tooth extraction, and the tooth space after tooth extraction can be closed by orthodontics, so that the normal dentition relationship can be slowly restored. For moderate and severe skeletal buck teeth, it is necessary to make a perfect orthodontic and surgical treatment plan through orthodontic orthognathic treatment. This type of buck teeth problem is much more serious than dental disease, so it must be treated in a regular oral unit.
