Does the xenon high beam need lenses? Why do xenon lamps need lenses?
Need. Xenon lamp with lens is a basic quality for automobile manufacturers and users who refit lamps.

Because xenon lamps have the characteristics of high reflectivity, we think that xenon lamps with the same power are much brighter than halogen lamps, but in fact, because the light is freely scattered in all directions, the light really projected to the position in front that needs lighting only accounts for a fraction of the overall lighting, which is actually a waste. Therefore, the automobile lens is actually realized by the combination of two kinds of mirrors: by using the reflection function of concave mirror, the reflected light is concentrated on the focus of the convex lens in front, so that the emitted light can be shaped, the light in other directions can be concentrated and reflected, the redundant glare can be filtered out, and the glare in other directions can be concentrated and projected forward, thus achieving better lighting effect. If it is a dual-lens lens, it can also actively block the glare above in low beam conditions to avoid dazzling oncoming traffic. The following figure is a schematic diagram of lens working principle for reference:
